About This
- HEAVY DUTY DOUBLE SIDED TAPE: 3M 5925 Tape features a durable acrylic foam adhesive with viscoelastic properties, delivering an exceptionally strong and permanent bond. Designed to replace rivets, screws, welds, and liquid adhesives while providing long-term durability, vibration resistance, and excellent flexibility for bonding a wide variety of materials.
- APPLICATION: 5925 Acrylic Foam Tape is a high-performance, heavy-duty mounting solution with viscoelastic adhesive properties. This waterproof tape works indoors and outdoors, offering exceptional bonding strength for demanding applications. Ideal for mounting tools, automotive trim (spoilers, moldings, wheel lips), signage, LED panels, and decorative items. Bonds securely to diverse surfaces including metals (aluminum, stainless steel), plastics (ABS, PVC, acrylic), glass, composites, and painted/sealed wood/concrete. Its durable construction withstands environmental factors while maintaining strong adhesion, making it perfect for industrial, commercial, and automotive applications.
- WATERPROOF & WEATHER RESISTANT: Designed for reliable indoor and outdoor performance, 5925 Tape creates a permanent seal against water, moisture, UV exposure, and harsh weather conditions. Its durable acrylic foam core maintains strong adhesion under heat, cold, vibration, and environmental stress, making it ideal for automotive, industrial, marine, and exterior mounting applications.
- INSTALLATION: At room temperature, approximately 50% of the ultimate strength will be achieved after 20 minutes, 90% after 24 hours and 100% after 72 hours. NOTES: USE A KNIFE TO CUT A CORNER OF THE ADHESIVE SIDE FOR EASIER FILM LINER REMOVAL.
- APPLYING TAPES: First, align the materials and make sure all surfaces are clean and dry. Use a 50:50 mix of isopropyl alcohol and water before applying tapes. Second, when surfaces are dry, apply the tape to the surface. Third, apply pressure with a J-roller to at least 15 psi (100 kPa). This will help develop high-strength adhesion and bonding. Bond strength will increase after application.
